Melissa Thomson

Operations Director

For over 13 years, Mel has headed up the fulfilment and operations organisation here at Web.com, departments which are the engine room to our business, a heartbeat that’s so integral to both our current success, and our forecasted growth throughout 2024 and beyond.

With more than 13 years of experience, Mel is immensely driven, hands-on, and has a passion for succeeding. Mel commands a firm grasp on the level of customer empathy needed within her team to elevate the levels, quality, and service in all we do.

Organisation should be her middle name, she loves everything from Jira to a good old-fashioned to-do list, anything to keep her team, and herself, in check, organised, and ahead of the game.

Outside of her working life. Mel enjoys watching the footy, anything by Harlan Coben, fine wines, and lots of long walks on the beach with her husband and fur baby, Mel gets her best ideas at the beach, or whilst sipping a cold glass of whispering angel, her excuse to her husband for always wanting to book a holiday!

Andrew Morgan

Head of Sales

Andy is Head of Sales for the UK organisation. With more than 16 years of sales experience, he has worked in many different roles in the business, from sales to coaching, and management is the most recent step in his career. Extremely passionate about coaching and nurturing sales talent, he is Web.com through and through – he eats, sleeps, and breathes sales.

Outside of work, Andy loves to relax with his family and spends a lot of time watching football. He also loves socialising with friends and having a few pints when and where possible.

Jessica Harker

Operations Manager

Jess has been with the business for 9 years and has worked in a variety of different roles which have all led her to her role as Operations Manager. Jess manages a range of different teams, ensuring the day-to-day delivery of our services run smoothly and efficiently.

Jess is most definitely a summer person, and you’ll find her at her happiest then. Music is one of Jess’s passions, from UK Festivals to Ibiza, hot climates, music and good friends are Jess’s vibe, if only she could smuggle her fur baby, Mila into her suitcase!

Stephen Stainsby

Project Manager

Stephen is a dynamic individual with a passion for various interests. Known for his adept project management skills, he serves as a dedicated Project Manager for Web UK and has a tenure of nearly a decade, with his journey within Web coming to a brief hiatus, during which he explored other professional avenues, only to be drawn back to the dynamic realm of Web UK after a six-month sabbatical.

Beyond the professional realm, Stephen finds joy in the world of gaming, immersing himself in virtual adventures that challenge and entertain. A fitness enthusiast, he can often be found at the gym sculpting his physique or exploring nature through invigorating walks and hikes. Stephen’s multifaceted personality reflects a harmonious blend of professional acumen and personal passions, making him a well-rounded and engaging individual.

Richard Vaughan

Product Manager

Richard Vaughan is our Senior Product Manager who looks after our products and services design and technical integrations. A key Operations team member, Richard collaborates with almost every department in the business intending to make our customer experiences as positive as possible.  

When he’s not triaging problems or working with the team to implement product improvements, you can find him lost in the pages of a good book, engrossed in one of the many streaming services he pays for or tinkering with his collection of bonsai trees.

Paul Rutland

Lead Developer

Paul,  a seasoned Software Developer with 34 years in the industry, boasts over two decades of dedicated service with web.com. As the lead developer for the AKME CRM system and Listings Management System, Paul specializes in PHP and NodeJs languages. His expertise extends beyond coding; he thrives on assisting Sales Professionals by identifying and resolving their daily challenges.

With a career rooted in problem-solving, Paul’s commitment to innovation has been pivotal in enhancing the functionality of web.com’s core systems. His proficiency in PHP and NodeJs has played a crucial role in shaping the company’s technological landscape. Outside the world of coding, Paul finds solace in the realms of literature, cinema, and culinary exploration. His love for reading, movies, and food reflects his diverse interests and a well-rounded approach to life.

Callum McManus

IT Manager

Callum McManus is a recent addition to the company only joining last year, he’s already making strides trying to find ways to improve the IT side of things. Callum manages the telephony, technology and ensuring everyone can get online and get to work!

Callum is a university graduate who studied Networks & Cybersecurity who hopes to further his knowledge in these areas and use this to help grow his skills.

In his free time, he is often going on walks with his dog and spending time seeing new places or trying new types of food out there. He also spends time working on projects with his Raspberry Pi trying to advance his knowledge.

Mark Hewitt

Systems Administrator

Mark is the server guy at Web.com UK. He has set up and is responsible for our entire range of server infrastructure. The entire user journey from DNS lookup, firewalls, load balancers, webservers, cache layers and backend databases is his responsibility.

He works with several development and product teams across the business to ensure all our services have maximum uptime and fast responses.

Mark has been with the business since 2011, with over 20 years of systems administration experience means he knows our systems inside out.

When not staring at computer terminal windows Mark enjoys following F1 and cycling around the County Durham countryside.

“I am always pretty busy; after looking after over 200 servers my two young daughters ensure there is never a dull moment!”
